Newcastle United are set for a busy end to the January transfer window, as Rafael Benitez seeks further additions to improve his side that is currently battling to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
The Magpies sealed their first signing of the January window earlier this week after capturing Brazilian starlet Kenedy from Chelsea, who will spend the remainder of the season on-loan at Tyneside.
Benitez wants at least two more additions though, with his priority areas being in goal and in attack, and a number of potential recruits are being targeted. The World Cup this summer may end up playing a huge part, as many players push for first-team football to improve their chances of heading to Russia.
That’s something that Newcastle should capitalise on and, as such, these three targets would be superb additions to Benitez’s squad and their drive to make it to this summer’s tournament will provide a significant boost.
