Newcastle United face an extremely busy end to the January transfer window, as Rafael Benitez looks to add at least two more players to his relegation threatened side.
The Magpies secured their first piece of January business this week following the capture of Brazilian starlet Kenedy from Chelsea, though it’s understood Benitez remains in the market for a new striker and a new goalkeeper.
However, it appears that moves to bolster those two areas are not the only pieces of business that the Spaniard is looking at, as recent reports claim the Magpies are interested in Real Betis midfielder Fabian Ruiz.
A number of other sides, including Tottenham and Everton, are also attributed with an interest in the 24-year-old, who has a release-clause of £14m, and a move could be made in the coming days. Given Benitez’s links in Spain, it certainly makes sense.
With Newcastle remaining active in their pursuit for players in other positions, then other La Liga options should be considered and this trio would be great recruits.
