Newcastle will have to face three more clubs in their battle to land Saint-Etienne winger Jonathan Bamba, according to Estadio Deportivo.
Le10 Sport reported earlier this week that the Magpies, Sevilla and Lille were all keeping track of the 21 year old, but it seems they will be challenged by Serie A sides Fiorentina, AC Milan and Inter Milan.
Bamba has had a good start to the Ligue One season, having scored four goals in eight appearances, but he has been absent for Saint-Etienne’s last two league games after a breakdown in contract talks.
The French under 21 international ‘s current deal expires at the end of the season, and the lack of progress in discussions seemed to suggest that the forward was on his way out of the Ligue One club.
It look like however that Bamba has begun to patch up his relationship with the French side, and the player is likely to feature for Saint-Etienne when Oscar Garcia’s side face Toulouse on Sunday afternoon.
