Newcastle United have started the Premier League season in reasonable form following their return to the top-flight, with ten points to their name after seven matches, but there’s certainly room for the Magpies to improve.
A 1-1 draw with Liverpool at the weekend shows that Rafael Benitez’ side are capable of going toe-to-toe with the Premier League’s elite teams and it gives the Tyneside outfit a boost of confidence heading into their flurry of matches after this week’s international break.
However, whilst some have excelled, other members of Newcastle’s side are yet to show themselves in the best light this season and need to improve on their performances quickly- otherwise they could find themselves out of the line-up or even surplus to requirements.
