Freddie Woodman is in high demand to go out on loan.

According to a report in The Chronicle the Newcastle keeper is already the subject of a loan offer from Peterborough with Kilmarnock also keen on the keeper.

Woodman was on loan at Kilmarnock last season and showcased himself during England’s victory at the u-20 World Cup.

With three experienced keepers already at Newcastle and Rafa Benitez looking to bring in a new Number One the club are happy to let Woodman get out on loan to gain some match time.

The 20-year-old is viewed as a medium term prospect who could be Newcastle’s first choice keeper in the next two to three years.

Loan deals for goalkeepers are particularly difficult to get right with first team football essential with Woodman already having made 30 appearances on the Newcastle bench.

Benitez has been impressed by the reports that he has had on the young keeper but wants Woodman to play in the Championship before considering him for a first team place.
