Newcastle are planning a raid on Hull City to sign Kamil Grosicki.

According to a report in The Chronicle a number of Polish sources are linking the winger with a move to Newcastle.

Grosicki only moved to Hull in January but it’s understood that he has a release clause of £7m if they get relegated from the Premier League with Hull looking to cut costs for their return to the Championship.

At that price there will be no shortage of offers for Grosicki who turned in some outstanding performances as Hull battled until the second last game of the season to avoid the drop.

According to the Polish reports the player shares the same agent as Rafa Benitez which should help negotiations bearing in mind the problems that Newcastle have encountered so far trying to get deals completed.

Grosicki spent four years with Rennes before joining Hull and had previously played in Turkey and Switzerland.
