Has never been able to make up for a shaky start to the campaign, with Ciaran Clark emerging as a wonderful partner for skipper Jamaal Lascelles in central defence. Still, the Scotland international was a huge part of Blackburn’s defence for a number of years, so is by no means a bad player.
Really needs to show Benitez he can be trusted, particularly with Chancel Mbemba away.
