After reports from Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla suggesting Newcastle United were in advanced discussions over a potential move for Inter Milan’s Valentino Lazaro, Sky Sports’ Keith Downie provided an update on his Twitter account.
Inter willing to allow Valentino Lazaro leave on loan after the arrival of Ashley Young and potential arrival of Christian Eriksen. Get the impression the Austrian isn’t the only one Steve Bruce is looking at. Jarrod Bowen is one that just doesn’t seem to go away #NUFC

According to the journalist, the Nerazzurri would be willing to allow the Austrian to leave on loan this month as a deal for Ashley Young edges closer, though he isn’t the only player Magpies boss Steve Bruce may be looking. Indeed, Downie mentioned the name of Hull City’s Jarrod Bowen, who may be a better fit for what the club they need right now.
As per Transfermarkt, the former has only scored 21 goals in 201 career appearances while the latter is close to that total in the Championship alone this season with 16, having bagged 22 for the Tigers last season too. So, though neither look to be conventional strikers, Bowen does appear to be a more prolific option.
With that in mind, here’s a look at how some of the fanbase reacted to Downie’s update.
Hope they don't see Lazaro as a direct alternative to Bowen though, very different players

So if Inter are allowing Lazaro to leave cos they've got Ashley Young in instead, dont hold much hope that he's gona be any good then!.

He's only rated 75 on Fifa 20 though. 😕

Can you have a word with Steve and tell him to get Bowen through the door.

Inter dont really rate him so i would imagine we would be first in line for option to buy.
