Newcastle United attacker Ayoze Perez would jump at the chance to move to Premier League rivals Arsenal, according to Football London.

The outlet claims that the Spaniard would love nothing more than to make the switch to the Emirates Stadium, with The Sun reporting last month that the Gunners are interested in signing him.

Football London’s report states that it would take around £10-15million to sign the 25-year-old, but that is surely way off the mark.

The accuracy of their report will likely only be tested if Unai Emery’s side do make an official offer for the Magpies star.

OPINION

There really is no way of knowing whether this is accurate or not at this stage. It’s no surprise that Perez has attracted rival clubs’ attention after a stunning end to the season with Newcastle. Miguel Almiron’s club record signing in January seemed to revitalise him and he put a mediocre first half of the campaign behind him to close out the term as well as anyone in the top flight. He is a quality operator, a proven Premier League performer who could certainly do a job for Arsenal. Whether Emery feels he is consistent enough to play for him remains to be seen. However, he’s got the ability to do so, there’s no doubt about. Would he really jump at the chance to represent the Gunners, though? Are they that big of a step up? The Sun’s report claimed that Italian giants Napoli are also interested in the Spaniard, and surely he’d rather move to Carlo Ancelotti’s side. Still, we’ll have to wait and see what Perez does this summer.
