Newcastle United have excelled in the Premier League this season, with the Magpies benefitting from a huge upturn in form following the January transfer window.
Rafael Benitez drafted in Islam Slimani, Martin Dubravka and Kenedy on-loan, with the latter two in particular helping to fire the Tyneside outfit into a top-half position in the table and well away from the relegation zone.
Newcastle are keen to complete permanent deals for Dubravka and Kenedy this summer, with the former looking most likely to sign as he’s revealed his aspirations to continue with strong performances for the remainder of the season to aid his chances of sealing a transfer.
Quoted by The Shields Gazette, the Slovakia international said:
“We have to keep going in every game. We don’t have to think about it that we have three more games.We have the next game, and we have to be ready for that and train well.”
“Everybody in the city says we’re safe, but I’m not playing like that, because I came for half a season and I have to show myself and also my team-mates would like to show themselves. They’re great players, and they want to give everything for the club. We have to put everything into the games.”
