Injuries have blighted Aarons’ short career, preventing the winger from building on the early promise he displayed following his debut under ex-manager Alan Pardew almost four years ago.
The 22-year-old has shown brief flashes of his talent in between his many extended absences, finding himself in the treatment room yet again this season before being sent to Italy on loan in the hope that he can recapture his best form with Hellas Verona in Serie A.
Realistically though, considering the impact Kenedy has made since joining from Chelsea, there seems to be no way back for Aarons at Newcastle and Benitez will more likely entertain any reasonable offer that comes in.
