Newcastle United are preparing for a major restructure this summer as the Magpies look to find stability in the Premier League, after only just about managing to keep their head above water in their return to the top-flight.
Rafael Benitez’s side sit four points above the relegation zone with seven matches left to play and the Spaniard is starting to prepare for his summer business, where a move for an international ace could be on the cards.
Newcastle, along with Premier League rivals Everton, have widely been attributed with an interest in Galatasaray winger Garry Rodrigues and his agent, Ceylan Caliskan, has confirmed there is English clubs chasing his client.
Speaking to Turkish Football, he said:
“Yes there has been offers from the Premier League but we are going to wait until the end of the season before making any decisions. Rodrigues’ primary goal is to lift the Super Lig title, to become a champion.”
Rodrigues, capped 21 times by Cape Verde, would significantly improve Newcastle’s options in the wide areas as the 27-year-old has scored six goals and provided eight assists this season.
