Newcastle United are poised for a very busy end to the January transfer window but Rafael Benitez’s side may have to brace themselves for a number of potential departures.

The Magpies remain in the market for additional recruits, having secured the services of Kenedy on-loan from Chelsea last week, but outgoing deals could take centre stage in the final few days of the mid-season market.

According to The Scottish SunScottish Premiership side Aberdeen are keen on landing young Newcastle goalkeeper Freddie Woodman on-loan until the end of the season- in a move that would hand the 20-year-old first-team action.

Woodman, who won the U20 World Cup with England last summer, has played in Scotland previously for Kilmarnock and would know what to expect, with a move handing him a huge boost in his development.

Newcastle are unlikely to sanction a departure until they land a replacement but that could come this week in the form of Martin Dubravka, who the Magpies are keen to bring into Tyneside from Sparta Prague.
