Newcastle United could provide a much-needed boost to Hartlepool United in the form of cut-price loan deals for youngsters, according to a report.

The Sunderland Echo states that Hartlepool are exploring the option to sign youngsters on-loan from Newcastle, Sunderland and Middlesbrough as they seek to turn things around following financial disaster.

Non-league Pools are currently unable to sign anyone due to problems with paperwork behind the scenes and the club’s well documented financial plight but there’s optimism that things could improve- and their close relations with fellow clubs in the North East could prove decisive.

An agreement would also prove to be beneficial to Newcastle as it would allow some talented youngsters to gain some much needed experience in a competitive environment, as well as helping to improve football in the North East- which has taken a hit over recent years.

Hull, Sunderland and Middlesbrough have all been recently relegated from the Premier League, whilst Newcastle have only just returned, and Hartlepool exited the Football League after relegation heartbreak on the final day of last season.
