Newcastle United are set for a busy end to the January transfer window, as Rafael Benitez’s side are looking to get a number of pieces of business over the line.

A number of high-profile moves have been suggested, with Benitez keen to land at least two more players after securing Brazilian starlet Kenedy on-loan from Chelsea, but deals being concluded are unlikely to just revolve around incoming pieces of business.

Sports Witness brings attention to a report that suggest an exit for Henri Saivet is edging closer to completion, with reports in Turkey stating that Sivasspor president Mecnun Odyakmaz is set to fly to England with the aim of concluding a deal.

The Turkish side are keen to secure the 27-year-old midfielder on-loan, although they may face rival interest from Montpellier, but Saivet is keen on an exit as he seeks more regular first-team action in the second half of the season.

Saivet has featured in just one Premier League game so far this season and appears to be surplus to requirements in the eyes of Benitez, who is likely to sanction a departure to free up movement for his own business- although it’s not yet clear whether a deal will be on-loan or permanent.
