The Swedish defender has been a sensation since moving to English football last year, joining Leeds United on-loan from Torino, and his performances quickly saw him become a fan favourite at Elland Road and earn himself a permanent switch to the club.
At 26-years-old, the defender has the experience that can provide a boost to Newcastle’s defence and turning down a move to the Premier League would be difficult to pass by- especially if Sweden make the World Cup, as he’ll look to cement his place in the squad.
