Newcastle United have performed well in their return to the Premier League, boasting 11 points from their first eight matches back in the top-flight and sitting pretty in the top-half of the standings.
There’s still a long way to go for Rafael Benitez’ side and plenty of football to be played, so Newcastle will continue to strive towards stability in what is an exciting period for the fans- as the Magpies are embroiled in takeover talks.
A new owner should give Benitez cash to splash in January, helping him fight towards better periods for the Newcastle faithful, but the Magpies need to be wary not to go overboard in one window- with West Ham and Everton both displaying the dangers of doing so over the course of the past year.
Bargains can still be found in the market and a number of fans seem to be intent on bringing a familiar face back to St. James’ Park, as they’ve called for Benitez to make a move for Hatem Ben Arfa in January- as the French forward will be a free-agent.
Ben Arfa was a controversial figure during his time in the Premier League but excelled back in France with OGC Nice, earning himself a move to PSG but finding it difficult in the capital due to the signings of Julian Draxler and Neymar.
Believed to be keen on a return to English football, this may be a move worth considering for the club.
