Newcastle United face an exciting time ahead of them, as there seems to be plenty of progress in Mike Ashley’s quest to sell the Premier League side and that should lead to a more stable period for the Tyneside giants.
Rafael Benitez will want transfer funds to splash in January, which new owners are likely to promise, and his priority may well be finding a reliable goalscorer who can provide consistency in attack- something the Magpies have lacked this year.
Summer signing Joselu has two goals to his name whilst Aleksandar Mitrovic has struggled to return to the side after suspension, with last year’s top-scorer Dwight Gayle yet to find the net in the top-flight and looking largely out of place.
That could all be rectified in the mid-season window with the right addition though and Benitez will have his eyes on top-class players he could bring in- and these three should be top of his short-list.
