According to the Daily Star, Newcastle United could continue their overhaul under Rafa Benitez this summer.
Though it’s proved to be a frustrating summer for the Magpies thus far as Benitez battles to try and make his squad competitive for his Premier League campaign, it seems he could finally be making progress.
Having landed Joselu today, the Toon Army could finally be close to shifting some the dead weight on Tyneside. Indeed, the likes of Jack Colback, Tim Krul, Massadio Haidara and Manu Riviere are all expected to leave St. James’ Park in the coming days.
Theoretically, that should free up some space in the squad to help ease some incomings along between now and the end of the window.
All the names mentioned have little to no future at the club and removing them from the wage bill should go down well amongst supporters after a nightmare few months for Newcastle United.
