Newcastle have been linked with a move for Riza Durmisi.
According to a report on Stadio Sport of Italy, linked to the popular Calcio Mercato website, the Real Betis left-back is a 10 million euro target for Newcastle and Roma.
Durmisi made 27 La Liga appearances last season after joining the Spanish side from Brondby in his native Denmark.
Both full-back positions are areas that Rafa Benitez is looking to strengthen with Durmisi representing good value compared to English alternatives with Roma also keen to speak with the player.
Benitez has stated that his preference is to sign players with experience of English football but as he described the market as crazy it is proving difficult to find players of the required quality on budget.
Durmisi played over 100 games for Brondby before switching to La Liga with Benitez weighing up whether he’d be able to switch as comfortably to playing in the Premier League.
