Newcastle have switched their goalkeeping attention to Adrian but face competition from Crystal Palace for the keeper.

According to a report in The Mirror the West Ham keeper is likely to have two Premier League options after being knocked down the pecking order by the arrival of Joe Hart on loan from Manchester City.

Newcastle are desperate to bring in a keeper after missing out on Hart and Willy Caballero while Pepe Reina looks to be bound for Manchester City.

When news emerged that Hart was close to moving to West Ham Darren Randolph was linked with a move to Newcastle but it appears that Adrian is a more realistic target.

Adrian finished last season as West Ham’s first choice keeper but shared his duties with Randolph through the season.

Karl Darlow and Tim Krul have been left out of the Newcastle squad training in Ireland with Rob Elliot and Freddie Woodman working with the squad.
