Newcastle could lose out three times over in a bizarre transfer triangle.

According to a tweet from Sam Inkersole of London LDN Middlesbrough are preparing a £5m move for Darren Randolph as soon as the Hammers complete the loan deal for Joe Hart.

Newcastle have been linked with Hart, were believed to be about to be offered Randolph and have been in talks with ‘Boro over a deal to sell Karl Darlow.

If Randolp moves to the Riverside it will mean that Newcastle have lost out on two keepers with Rafa Benitez starting the pre-season matches with the unwanted Darlow between the sticks.

Today’s new piles the pressure on the Newcastle board to deliver with the end of season optimism knocked for six.

While other clubs have been slow in the transfer market Newcastle have been strongly linked with a number of moves that had failed to materialise such as the deals for Tammy Abraham and Willy Caballero.
