Newcastle fans are speculating over whether the club should make a move for Jack Wilshere.
According to a feature on TalkSPORT Newcastle is an option for the midfielder who seems surplus to requirements at The Emirates.
AC Milan have been credited with an interest in Wilshere but alongside the undoubted ability the big question is over his fitness.
Going on loan to Bournemouth last season was an opportunity to get back to football matters but after rebuilding his career a leg break saw the loan cut short as he returned to Arsenal for treatment.
A fully fit Wilshere would light up the Newcastle side but the threat of injury and a massive salary has to be factored in to any decision.
A £9m transfer fee is certainly within Rafa Benitez’s budget but it’ll be other decisions that dictate where Wilshere will be playing next season or whether he will remain at Arsenal for one last try at winning over Arsene Wenger.
