Newcastle are ready to offer Jesus Navas a new Premier League deal.
According to a report in The Sun the former Manchester City winger has been offered a £1.3m/year deal to join Newcastle- the same deal as Sevilla have put together.
Navas has a long attachment to the club that sold him to City for £15m in 2013.
The 31-year-old was never going to be offered a new deal by Pep Guardiola despite making more than 30 top team appearances last season.
It had always been assumed that Navas would return to Sevilla but the option to stay on in England is one that he is giving serious thought to.
Rafa Benitez is looking to bring in players with experience of the Premier League, with no transfer fee involved a deal to bring in Navas makes financial and footballing sense.
Navas hasn’t scored a league goal for three years but that won’t put off Newcastle if they can agree wages and a signing on fee.
