Newcastle fans are trying to remain calm as another bout of speculation hovers over Rafa Benitez.
With no new faces scheduled to appear at pre season training on Monday much of the feel good factor from promotion has washed away.
When Benitez held his peace talks with Mike Ashley at the end of last season it seemed that all was well at St James’ Park but seasoned observers knew not to jump to conclusions.
Most of these reports/leaks come from southern press. Why do they worry so much about a wee club in the north !?

Do we need to be worried though about the lack of transfer action? Loads of speculation but no results??

Good! Absolutely sick of the southern press blowing shit out of proportion. We get it, Rafa is frustrated!

Still worry about transfer I think huddlefield don’t have more money than Newcastle but they can spend 10 mil + on new player now

Despite spending the whole of June identifying targets and opening negotiations no-one has yet put pen to paper and held a black and white scarf above their head.
With reports of managerial unrest in January following the failure to sign Andros Townsend the grapevine has been alive with stories of fall-outs and showdown talks.
Benitez is expected to host some media conferences next week but with each passing day without success in the transfer market it seems that rumours of discontent will grow arms and legs.
