Time to say enough is enough?

Joey Barton has once again managed to put his foot in his mouth. I assume you’ve read his take on the “situation” between America and Great Britain, which is his call by all means, its got nothing to do about football.

However, shortly after the Leeds game on Sunday, Barton was on about the club again, here are some of his tweets;

“If only we as players could tell the fans exactly how it is, without them above fining us lots of money. There will be a time and a place”

“If it wouldn’t effect team morale and cause unrest within the dressing room, am certain Jose’s comments would be the tip of the iceberg…..”

“And again it would be left to those magnificent fans to pick up the remnants of their once great football club. #hadenoughofcertainpeople”

“If I wanted to leave, I’d just come out and say “I want to leave” Things need addressing as am not prepared to go through a relegation again”

These were some of the tweets coming from Joey Barton shortly after the Leeds match, which we sadly lost 3-2. Credit to Leeds for their excellent performance.

It seems that lately Joey has taken a turn for the worse, closing in on his former life slowly but surely. Perhaps this time more through his words than through his fists.

There has been a lot of discussion about the Twitter situation, and whether players should be allowed to use it or not, with Joey Barton, Jose Enrique and Wayne Routledge all using it to vent their emotions over the last week.

Barton contradicts himself when saying he’d wish he could just blurt it out without affecting the dressing room.

A little late for that Joey, is it not?

Since writing this it appears the club has had enough, Barton has been put on the transfer list today and can leave Newcastle on a free this summer

    The quicker he’s gone the better. He painted himself into a corner and gave Ashley no choice but to ship him out. He’s a compulsive idiot.
