OPINION
Isn’t football a funny thing? Newcastle United fans are so driven by hatred towards Mike Ashley that some on Twitter are actively urging Sheffield Wednesday to rinse the Magpies owner for as much money as they can. The Championship side confirmed in a statement on Monday night that they have reported Newcastle to the Premier League over their appointment of Steve Bruce. The Premier League will now investigate the Magpies’ swoop for Bruce, which caused much anger among the fanbases of both clubs involved. Newcastle fans didn’t want him and as soon as they heard him resign to force a move to St James’ Park, Sheffield Wednesday fans didn’t want him either. Anything that hurts Ashley and puts a dent in his plans to own a football club is a good move for Newcastle and their passionate supporters. It remains to be seen what the outcome of the Premier League investigation will be but hopefully there will be some good news for both sets of fans.

This is such embarassment to Newcastle United Football Club. I hope that Ashley gets severely punished for this.

Our club can’t even appoint a manager properly. And a terrible manager while we’re on that topic.
I’m laughing me head off man. Because if you don’t laugh, you’ll cry. #nufc
