COMMENTARY
Alan Nixon, a journalist, for The Sun shared via his personal Twitter account  when asked whether there was an update on the takeover of Newcastle United that it sounded like none of the interested parties have the money to get a deal done. This update on the current status of the club’s potential takeover saw a large section of Magpies supporters fume and lose all hope that one is about to happen. Several started calling for a boycott of games with one pointing out that the fixture with Manchester United, which was set to be on Sky, was ideal while another was urging all home games to be boycotted which showed their anger. While Nixon’s update is not promising to say the least, it may be just a little too early to start raging over a takeover not happening just yet. Magpies fans should be dubious, as there was a lot of takeover talk last season, but often the media have put out mixed reports on the situation so no one can be truly certain.
