Newcastle United must pounce on the golden opportunity to welcome a new winger to the club in January by signing Tottenham speed demon Georges-Kevin N’Koudou.

According to The Sun the Spurs winger has no future under Mauricio Pochettino and the Londoners need to sell him in order to help a pursuit of Hull City attacker Jarrod Bowen.

The Daily Mail also recently reported that N’Koudou was on the chopping block as he was one of the players Spurs were willing to listen offers for as part of a mass clear-out.

The 23-year-old has struggled to make a name for himself at Spurs despite possessing blistering pace as he has only been allowed to make 24 appearances for them since joining from Marseille in 2016.

N’Koudou was then loaned out to Burnley for the second-half of the 2017/18 campaign and while he showed glimpses of his potential in his eight outings, overall it was disappointing that he couldn’t make more of an impact at Turf Moor.

Yet given that Spurs seem very keen to sell him in order to help their January business, the Magpies could strike a very reasonable deal for N’Koudou that even their likely restricted budget could allow.

The winger may not have cut it at Spurs but Rafa Benitez has proven before that he can get the best out of players and the 23-year-old definitely has enough potential to suggest the Magpies boss can transform him for the better.

If N’Koudou was able to harness his speed while also starting to make better decisions when it comes to choosing whether to shoot or pass, he could be a very useful attacking force for the Magpies.

This is especially the case when you consider that the speedster is able to play on either wing comfortably which means Benitez would have options on how to use him.

With all this in mind, the Magpies must sign N’Koudou from Tottenham in January as Benitez could work wonders for him and make him look a very smart signing when all is said done.
