If you ask any Newcastle fans one player who needs to be replaced in their squad at the moment, the chances are that many would say Javier Manquillo. The Spanish right-back has never really made an impact at St. James’ Park, and this season has been nothing short of a nightmare for the 24-year-old. Firstly, Manquillo has been limited to just four appearances in all competitions for the Magpies, with Rafa Benitez having several other players he has preferred over the former Liverpool player. Secondly, whenever he has been called upon Manquillo has been poor. The 24-year-old is likely suffering from a lack of regular playing time, but he has never really looked up to speed when selected. That was exactly what happened in this 1-1 draw on Wednesday, with Manquillo failing to impress and looking behind the pace at Goodison Park. Unfortunately for Manquillo, Benitez now needs to listen to these fans below and replace his compatriot in the January transfer window.
Nothing Manquillo does ever comes off. I'm staggered he keeps getting games. Never seen anyone try to cross a ball with a back-header.
