Mick Quinn took to Twitter in order to praise Newcastle United for claiming all three points against Watford on Saturday at St James’ Park.
The ex-Magpies’ forward praised Rafa Benitez on his personal Twitter account for helping the team to their first victory of the Premier League season, which consisted of Ayoze Perez netting the winner in a 1-0 result.
Quinn appeared ecstatic that United were now out of the relegation zone following the match.

Newcastle secured their first win of the season on Saturday, so it is no surprise that one of their former players has taken to the social media site to praise that – it really was a monumentous result. Fans have been waiting a while for their first victory to come, and it came in a match that they did not really dominate, and where Watford could have gone ahead numerous times. If anything, they rode their luck a little bit, but only until Ki Sung-Yueng came on for Jonjo Shelvey in the second half. He was instrumental in all of their attacking play, and it was largely because of him that they claimed the win. However, the most important thing that Benitez will take away from this result is that his side are now out of the relegation zone – just. Huddersfield Town now remain the only team in the league without a win, and supporters are no doubt thinking that it is onwards and upwards from here.
