Former English cricket and well-known Newcastle United fan Graeme Swann instantly took to his Twitter to react to his side defeating Watford 1-0 on Saturday.

The 39-year-old posted a brief video with a tweet attached via his personal account to celebrate the Magpies getting their first win of the season.

“Dilly Dilly to Rafa and the boys, three points and first win of the season,” said Swann in the video clip, seen above.

“I’m so happy, howay the lads, keep it going.

“Dilly Dilly, howay Rafa.”

After getting their first three points of the season against the Hornets, the Magpies now have six points after 11 games played in the Premier League.

OPINION

Swann clearly speaks for the whole Magpies fans base when he shares how happy he is to finally see the team pick up three points. It’s been a miserable campaign for Rafa Benitez’s side so far but after getting a win against the Hornets, maybe that’s all about to change. The Magpies currently sit outside of the relegation zone following their win and will only slip back into bottom three depending on the result of Fulham’s clash with Huddersfield Town. However at the end of day, even if the Magpies slip back into the drop zone, it doesn’t really matter at this stage of the season. The Magpies now know they’re capable of winning games in the Premier League and that must fuel in them in the next coming weeks. While the Magpies will still be looking to improve in the coming weeks, especially in front of goal, at least the team have finally given fans a reason to be cheerful this season as it was all getting doom and gloom around St James Park.
