Some Newcastle United fans took to Twitter in order to react to Aston Villa sacking manager Steve Bruce on Wednesday.
The Villans shared that they had parted company with the 56-year-old manager in a brief statement on their official website and that they had started the process to hunt for his replacement.
After the news was broken, a section of Magpies supporters appeared on social media to react to the news that Bruce was back on the market and that the Villans didn’t have a manager currently.
Several Magpies supporters were concerned that Bruce would end up being their next manager while one hilariously tweeted that the Villans were in the hunt for the experienced manager as he is exactly what they need.

OPINION
It seems that despite having enough to fret about, Magpies supporters can’t help giving themselves something else to worry about as well. Several are concerned that with Villa giving Bruce his marching orders than the stars are aligning for him to arrive at St James Park to succeed Rafa Benitez. This would be a very depressing scenario if it unfolded as replacing Benitez with Bruce is like trading in a Ferrari for a Ford Focus. Hopefully all these fears being expressed by a section of Magpies supporter are unfounded as there’s no way the appointment of Bruce in the foreseeable future would go down well especially if it was after Benitez walking out the door. Bruce has achieved a lot in the game and is a very experienced manager but he doesn’t look capable of leading the Magpies up the Premier League table and the club should steer well clear. As for Villa, it’ll be interesting to see who they hire as their promotion bid relies on them making the correct decision.
