OPINION
Considering the commercial power that Newcastle owner Mike Ashley possesses, they have lagged behind most of their Premier League rivals in the last few seasons when it comes to kit launches, promotion and the quality of the kits themselves. This kit is a big change because the fact they’re chosen a retro strip shows real thought and creativity in the process behind the scenes. Hopefully, a boost in kit sales with this new away strip launch could give the club a transfer budget boost over the next 12 months, which would make the fans even happier that they bought one.
