Newcastle have been linked with a move for Uruguay international Giorgian De Arrascaeta, and fans are completely split over the news.
De Arrascaeta starred for Uruguay in the World Cup finals in Russia, although he only made two appearances.
The 24-year-old playmaker currently plays for Brazil side Cruzeiro, but is keen on a move to Europe and both Newcastle and Celtic are said to be interested, with Benitez ready to stump up the £18million asking price.
A large section of the fans think that there is no chance that Newcastle will be able to afford the £18million price tag that’s been quoted by talkSPORT.
One fan said they might have a chance if he was priced at £1.8million instead.
Others, perhaps dazzled by the World Cup, think he would be an exciting signing who Newcastle should pursue.
One fan went as far as to say that this was a deal that Newcastle “absolutely must do” and called him a “proper no.10”.
