Newcastle United must swoop for Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo as with Rafa Benitez’s guidance he could finally fulfil his potential at the club.

The 21-year-old winger has blistering pace, the ability to unleash powerful shots from distance and is capable of bamboozling his opponents due to his slick dribbling ability.

However Ojo has always shown off these impressive attributes in glimpses and needs regular playing time as well as an experienced boss to nurture his talent so he can be a success in England’s top-flight.

Benitez has previously shown throughout his managerial career before and during his time at Newcastle United that he is a manager capable of unlocking a player’s true potential and Ojo will be no different.

The speed demon at times looked too good to feature in the Championship with Fulham when on loan with them in the 2017/18 season but then also put in lacklustre performances that saw him lose his place as a first-team starter.

Ojo ended his spell at Fulham having scored two goals, while creating four, in 24 appearances for the London club and was clearly capable of having higher numbers if he was consistent.

If Benitez was able to consistently get Ojo playing at his best then the 21-year-old winger would be an attacking threat that a lot of Premier League sides would love to have.

The Spanish manager is known to want at least one winger brought into the club, as reported by the Chronicle, and with the speed machine being able to play on either flank then he would be ideal.

The Magpies may be chasing Chelsea’s Kenedy and Crystal Palace’s Andros Townsend in their hunt for a new winger, as stated by the Northern Echo , but if those deals end up being too pricey and out of the club’s reach then at least they’d have Ojo to fall back on if he was welcomed.

Liverpool, who finished fourth in the Premier League during the 2017/18 season, do want to loan Ojo out again this summer as according to a previous report by Goal they’re seeking to find him a temporary club for the next campaign.

This means the 21-year-old’s signature is unlikely to cost the Magpies very much as Benitez can utilise his contacts from his time at Anfield to get a cheap loan fee and the Reds will no doubt be grateful that a Premier League club will opt to take a chance on him.

The top-six Premier League side are no doubt aware that playing regularly in England’s top-flight as well as working with Benitez could significantly boost Ojo’s development.

Therefore the Magpies must swoop for Ojo in order to bring an exciting winger through the doors at St James Park this summer as a deal should be relatively easy to get done.
