great news for #nufc and more importantly for Rafa, he still keeps his budget intact after bringing back an important piece that would have sliced off 20 mill or more of his budge. Can now focus on getting another quality player

Happy with that. Get a goalscorer through the door now and top 10 a realistic target again for me.

OPINION:
Kenedy was an instant hit at St James’ Park and despite the fact that statistically speaking he was not hugely prolific, having notched up just two goals and two assists in 13 Premier League games for the Magpies, it was his overall game and influence on his teammates that earnt him plaudits from supporters. The Brazilian was involved in everything that was good about Rafa Benitez’ side following the close of the January transfer window and fans will be expecting more of the same again when he does finally become confirmed as a Newcastle player. The only cause for concern is the question surrounding the terms he would be arriving on as the Magpies faithful want to see this loan deal turn permanent.
