The 2017/18 campaign was tough for Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana as injuries ravaged his season but if at Newcastle United for his next season then everything will be better for every party involved.

The 30-year-old attacking midfielder clawed his way to making 15 appearances for the Reds across all competitions but was hardly able to get out of first gear due to his injury woes.

However there’s no denying that with a good pre-season under his belt, which he seems determined to have, the midfielder is a top quality Premier League talent who would light up St James Park.

The Reds proved last season during their exciting campaign that they had moved on from needing the attacking midfielder and the potential currently delayed, according to RMC Sport, arrival of Nabil Fekir will just see him dropping further down the pecking order.

Given the fact Lallana currently earns £110,000-a-week at Anfield, as stated by the BBC, that sort of money cannot be allowed to be paid to a player that is surplus to requirements and will only make appearances from the bench at best.

This means Jurgen Klopp should bin the 30-year-old, who he described previously as one of England’s best players via Liverpool’s official website,in order to truly push on with his ambitions for the club.

While there’s no sign as of yet that the German boss is ready to pull the trigger, the Magpies must be poised ready to catch Lallana if he finds himself made available by the club.

The Reds are likely to be hesitant about permanently ditching him as Klopp is clearly a fan, as he’ll hope the player will get to his best fitness-wise soon, and be open to loaning him out for the midfielder to get regular games.

Lallana needs to be regularly kicking a ball next season to put his injuries behind him and the Reds can’t afford to meet that demand at their own expense of success.

However the Magpies’ midfield options would be instantly improved by the 30-year-old’s arrival and could supply him with the playing time needed to see him firing on all cylinders.

Rafa Benitez’s side would clearly benefit from this as Lallana, who has scored 29 goals in the Premier League while registering 30 assists, is no stranger to improving a side’s attacking threat.

The Magpies are clearly on the hunt to better themselves in front of goal last season after only netting 39 goals in the league by the time it was all said and done.

Therefore Benitez’s team must be poised outside Liverpool ready to catch Lallana to help themselves improve and aid him in his recovery to justify Klopp’s once high praise of him.
