Newcastle United are lining up a move to take Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford on loan, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper claim that Jose Mourinho is yet to decide whether he will hand the sublime forward the regular playing time he needs at the club next season and this has the Magpies, Everton as well as Leicester City plotting moves.

The Daily Mail report suggests that all three Premier League clubs will attempt to take Rashford, who earns £55,000-a-week (source: Daily Mirror), off Man United’s hands for the season if he isn’t a part of Mourinho’s plans.

Good move for Newcastle?

Yes, it would be the best possible signing the Magpies could hope to make this summer.

Rashford scored 13 goals, while assisting nine, in the 52 outings he made for Manchester United in his latest campaign and helped them finish second in the Premier League.

It seems the Magpies are already in hot pursuit of the 20-year-old attacking talent as they’re already lining up a move just in case Mourinho boldly decides to loan him out.

If Rashford was to arrive at St James Park anytime soon than the club’s goalscoring woes would soon be behind them as the attacker has shown his ability to bag goals in England’s top-flight.

Likely to happen?

Unless Mourinho has truly lost the plot at Old Trafford, there’s no way he would sanction the temporary exit of Rashford.

The attacker may not be getting a guaranteed 90 minutes every week but he is a regular fixture in the first-team squad, who delivers the goods when called upon.

Rashford is set to go the World Cup with England in the summer and looks capable of being a potential show stealer for his nation and that could influence Mourinho’s decision when it comes to letting him go out on loan or not.

However at this stage, it’s hard to see Benitez’s side unveiling Rashford anytime soon and this just may be paper talk that leads nowhere.
