Newcastle United fans on social media were very sceptical about their club being linked with a move for Marcus Rashford but did praise his ability.
Magpies supporters were blown away by the idea of signing the Manchester United attacker on loan after reading the Daily Mail’s report that stated that their club were lining up a move for him.
The newspaper claimed that Man United boss Jose Mourinho was weighing up whether it would be for the best if Rashford departed the club on a temporary basis in order to continue his rapid development.
While fans clearly wished for the story to appear believable to them, several fans took the opportunity to dismiss the idea as being a plausible one.
One supporter said that they would propose to Rafa Benitez if he was to welcome the forward, who scored 13 goals in 52 outings last season, to St James Park this summer.
While another took the time to tweet that even though they could see Rashford leaving Old Trafford on loan in the current window, they didn’t believe what they had just read.
The 20-year-old forward, who is capable of being a winger on either flank too, is set to go to the World Cup in Russia this summer with England.

If only. We’ve no chance if there’s anyone else around us goes in for him, they’ll be far more willing to pay loan fees than FCB. pic.twitter.com/iawonhYQ6C
