Newcastle United winger Yasin Ben El-Mhanni is attracting attention from Leicester City, Sporting Lisbon and a host of other high-profile clubs, according to GOAL.

The football website claim that the 22-year-old, whose current contract is set to expire on June 30 (Today), has no shortage of suitors with  Besiktas, Sporting CP, Bordeaux, Feyenoord  Leicester City, Wolves, Leeds United and Swansea City all keen on him.

GOAL report that El-Mhanni is keen to move on from St James Park but don’t name who is currently winning the race to win his signature.

Good move for Newcastle?

Sort of.

The Magpies officially confirmed earlier in June, via their website, that El-Mhanni was going to be one of many players at U-23 level that would leave the club this summer.

After making only two appearances for the senior side and none of them coming in the 2017/18 campaign then it seems like a smart move by the Magpies not to renew his contract.

However given the level of interest in him it seems the Magpies may end up regretting their decision if he quickly goes on to proves himself at another club.

Especially if he opts to stay in the Premier League with Wolves or Leicester City as Rafa Benitez could witness first hand what a talent the Magpies previously had on their hands.

Likely to happen?

The 22-year-old winger is definitely leaving St James Park this summer but it’s hard to know where he may end up.

It seems El-Mhanni has many clubs to go and talk to about his future and it might come down to which club will promise to give him the most first-opportunities.

The winger hasn’t had much high-level senior football in his career so far and will no doubt be eager to join a club where he can get regular football.
