Newcastle have enjoyed a stellar rise up the Premier League table since January, securing their top-flight status for another season, but performances have slipped in recent weeks.
The Magpies have now lost back-to-back matches against Everton and West Brom 1-0, having previously won four matches in a row, and will seek to return to winning ways this weekend against fellow mid-table outfit Watford.
However, speaking to the Watford Observer, Hornets midfielder Etienne Capoue expressed his confidence of inflicting a third defeat in a row upon Rafael Benitez’s side, if they play as they did against Tottenham.
“We created a lot of chances and this is important for the team, the strikers and the attacking midfielders. We kept creating chances against a big team, so we are in the right way and we are going to score on Saturday I feel it. We managed to create chances and if we keep doing it we will begin to get results.”
“We want to be focused on Newcastle and if we play like that we will get the points against Newcastle.”
Watford have already got the better of Newcastle this season, winning 3-0 at St. James’ Park in November.
