Newcastle United have plenty of work to do in the transfer market this summer and Rafael Benitez’s first priority is to secure permanent switches for the loanees who have impressed during the second-half of the season.

The Magpies are keen to bring Martin Dubravka and Kenedy back to the club again next season and Benitez has talked up the possibility of a move for the latter, telling The Chronicle a transfer to Newcastle would be good for the Brazil youngster.

“I am sure Kenedy is a player that they [Chelsea] will consider. But they have so many good players they may see him as an option for the boy to go on loan for another year. Where could a good place for him be? Newcastle. And for sure that could be a good chance for him and us.”

The 22-year-old has excelled at St. James’ Park since January, scoring two goals and contributing a further two assists in 11 Premier League appearances.
