Newcastle United are set for a busy transfer period this summer as Rafael Benitez looks to rejuvenate his ranks and he could earn spending money with the sale of a number of players within his squad.

One of those on Newcastle’s books who’s future is uncertain is Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, who joined Fulham on-loan in January after limited opportunities on Tyneside and has excelled in the Championship.

It’s not clear what lies ahead of Mitrovic upon his return to his parent side this summer, though his focus will surely be on Serbia’s World Cup campaign, but it seems he could be handed a chance of making an impact elsewhere in the Premier League.

The Daily Mail reports that West Ham boss David Moyes watched Mitrovic during the international break, with the Scottish boss again spotted in the stands for Fulham’s victory over Leeds United earlier this week- leading to suggestions he’s ‘seriously’ interested in the striker.

Rated at around £20m, Newcastle could earn a healthy sum from a sale but many may want to see him given the chance of impressing at St. James’ Park due to the lack of consistency Newcastle have had in front of goal this year.
