Newcastle United can be very pleased with the business they completed in January, as Kenedy and Martin Dubravka have both impressed in the months since moving to Tyneside on-loan.

Rafael Benitez is keen to keep the pair at St. James Park on a permanent basis but it seems that he could face a battle to do so, as interest in Slovakian international Dubravka has risen in light of his fine performances.

Whilst stating Newcastle are keen on signing the 29-year-old permanently, Chronicle Live also report that mid-table Serie A outfit Udinese are also tracking the experienced goalkeeper and may make a move to pip the Magpies in the market.

Benitez’s side hold first option to sign the international stopper due to an agreement made to bring Dubravka to the club from Sparta Prague but, with finances tight, the opportunity for a deal may present itself to the Italian club.

Missing out on Dubravka would be a serious blow for Newcastle and Benitez will be keen to ensure that doesn’t happen.
