Plenty is expected to change this summer at Newcastle United and young forward Adam Armstrong will be hoping Rafael Benitez has a place for him on Tyneside.

The striker lifted the U20 World Cup with England last summer and has since enjoyed fine form in senior football on-loan with Blackburn Rovers, being crowned League One’s Player of the Month for March.

Armstrong joined the club on-loan in January and has since scored nine goals, quoted by Chronicle Live  as stating his confidence has helped him massively.

“Scoring against Oldham on my birthday came me a massive lift and I now go into every game believing I will score. I’m always confident I can score goals and I’m really enjoying things at the moment so hopefully I can keep on scoring.”

“We enjoy the competition. The teams around us winning motivates us more and more. It’s what football is about.”

Armstrong will be hoping to maintain his form until the end of the season to help Blackburn in their promotion chase.
