Newcastle United are linked with a host of potential recruits this summer and are likely to face a fierce fight in the market for some of their top-targets, especially those who have caught the eye of a number of sides.

The Magpies have been heavily linked with the services of Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup in recent weeks, with the former Arsenal man rapidly approaching the end of his contract in Turkey- leading to links with the likes of AC Milan and Everton.

However, Besiktas are keen to keep the Turkish international at the club and CNN Turk report that the 25-year-old has been offered a fresh £2.5m-a-year deal to extend his stay in his homeland, consisting of a £42k-a-week wage and a whopping £2m signing on fee.

Quotes from the player’s agent were also stated in the report, where he admitted the next two weeks will be crucial in deciding his client’s future, with the race for his services heating up.

The likes of Lazio, Marseille and Valencia are also attributed with an interest 30-cap international.
