Newcastle United are set for a busy transfer period as Rafael Benitez plots to rejuvenate his side after their struggles to find consistency in the Premier League this season.

The Magpies have pushed themselves away from the relegation zone in recent weeks but are still not mathematically secure and Benitez will be hoping for a much more stable campaign next term, which leaves him in the market for additions.

One player widely linked with a move to St. James’ Park is Galatasaray winger Garry Rodrigues, who Newcastle have reportedly already seen two bids rejected for, and it’s now claimed that further offers could be on the horizon this summer.

Speaking to Turkish outlet Sporx TVSabah Galatasaray journalist Mehmet Ozcan said:

“During the winter break, Schalke wanted to sign him but it was rejected as the club were pushing for the title. I think that stance could change at the end of the season. I am expecting bids from English clubs for around €20m.”

Newcastle will reportedly face competition from West Ham this summer in the chase for the Cape Verde international.
