Woeful. Sent on to inject pace and purpose to United’s attack but his most notable contribution was passing the ball out for a throw-in under no pressure.
Islam Slimani (for Gayle, 65) – 0
Waste of time. Benitez gambled on Slimani in January and the Algerian repaid his manager with a petulant kick on Craig Dawson that will surely see him retrospectively banned for three matches. Either way, his United career is over.
Joselu (for Perez, 78) – 3
Just not good enough at this level. Should have at least hit the target with a late header, but once again missed the goal completely. Story of his season.
