Newcastle United are poised for a crucial few months ahead as they look to secure their Premier League status but a number of changes are expected in the summer regardless of the circumstances.

The Magpies are looking to rebuild their squad to compete in the top-flight, having signed Kenedy, Martin Dubravka and Islam Slimani on-loan during the January window, and a number of departures have also taken place.

Whilst the likes of Jack Colback and Aleksander Mitrovic have left Tyneside on-loan, Australian international Curtis Good is set to leave permanently at the end of the season when his contract comes to an end.

In six years in the North East, Good has played just two senior matches for Newcastle and has failed to secure the opportunities to shown Rafael Benitez, or any of his predecessors, that he’s capable of being an option in defence.

Now, with Florian Lejune, Ciaran Clark, Jamaal Lascelles and Chancel Mbemba ahead of him in the pecking order, The Chronicle states Newcastle will not offer the 24-year-old defender a new deal and an exit is on the horizon.
